Mark Sanford for President?
Alexander McClure at PoliPundit.com puts Governor Mark Sanford on his list of potential candidates for the 2008 GOP nomination and describes Sanford as follows:
Very popular with mavericks and conservatives, Sanford comes from one of the reddest of red states, but he represents the New South. With his warm personality, Sanford could be just the candidate the GOP needs in 2008 to defeat the Democratic nominee, whom if past history is correct, will be extremely unlikable.
For now, though, it would be nice to see Sanford merely get some of his reforms through the State Senate.
Aah, come on, CountryFried! Don't I get a hat tip for this one? :)

I just went to your site and didn't see anything about the post. Did you send me an e-mail? I haven't checked my countryfried e-mail account in the last week.

Yeah, I sent an email. No, I didn't blog it--I thought it might fit better on CountryFried (since I am presently exiled in NC!).

Sanford doesn't meet the standards for the office of President of the United States. Anyone that has tried to remove elected consitution officers from the ballot and reel them in as his pupets is not carrying out his power for the better intrest of the people of this state. Yes I'm refering to his crowning program the MAPP Comission. Sanford for retirement in 2008...
